Storytelling Through A Film Lens

I've long been obsessed with movies and have always wanted to write, direct, star and shoot my own. I've come to realize, especially since completing Seasons in 2008 that passion in life is storytelling. Be it writing songs, working on a screenplay, filming the life story of a grandparent, chasing my two year-old with a variety of cameras or helping a small business owner to tell their story online, I love finding, developing and building great stories.

When I returned from a fairly disastrous adventure in Australia (check out Ants on a Blog) following the release of Seasons, I ventured forth to start my own film production company, Nature Nurture Productions. I bought all the latest high tech film, lighting and editing gear and ventured forth to help capture and preserve the unique life stories of our elders with my signature film service, The Living Experience. As I collected these treasures for families to cherish and enjoy for future generations, I also began to collect footage from family events, live performance and behind-the-scenes footage of my musical projects and the stories of local small business owners and their struggle to bring their unique visions to light in our community.

Video is the richest of mediums for me because it completely captures the sights, sounds and feel of those moments of our lives that are worth preserving. there's nothing that compares to being able to hear a loved one tell their story in their own words, relive an incredible moment of creation or the carefree joy and wonder of childhood.

I continue to be fascinated by the movie-making and filmmaking process and look forward to any opportunity to use my creative storytelling abilities towards simultaneously providing a livelihood for my family and offering others a means by which to remember and preserve the precious and inspiring moments of their own unique life's journey.
